API Key Setup
This section explains how to request and configure API keys for different model providers.
Three Things to Clarify First
- Mask does not provide API keys and does not resell model usage.
- API keys must be requested and managed by you on third-party platforms.
- Whether and how you are billed depends on each provider's rules.
General Request Flow
- Register an account on the target model platform.
- Complete required verification (identity/organization/billing).
- Enable API service and create a key.
- Apply proper permissions and quota limits to the key.
- Paste the key into Mask settings and run a test.
Security Recommendations
- Never commit keys to Git repositories.
- Never share screenshots containing full keys.
- If leakage is suspected, revoke and recreate the key immediately.
