When to use email

If your logs, screenshots, or environment details feel too private to post publicly, use email instead.

  • Email is better for sharing fuller diagnostic details when privacy matters.
  • Because the conversation happens privately and usually requires back-and-forth clarification, response time may be slower than public reports.

When to open a GitHub Issue

If you think the issue may affect many users rather than only your setup, open a GitHub Issue first.

  • GitHub: mask-app
  • Public issues are easier to confirm, triage, and follow up on quickly.
  • Other users can add matching symptoms, reproduction conditions, or workarounds.
  • If logs should not be posted publicly, you can still send them by email and mention in the issue that the logs were shared privately by email.

How to get faster help

Whichever route you choose, include as much of the following as possible:

  • Device model and OS version
  • Mask version
  • Provider and model name
  • Key error messages (redacted if needed)
  • Whether the issue is reproducible, and the reproduction steps
